Happy Seashell Saturday!
Today I thought I would do a fun little rhyming song to the tune of "My Favorite Things".
My Favorite Shells
Calico Scallops
and big thick Lucina's
Augers
and Olives
White Dosinia's
Whelks
and Jewel Box
Kitten Paws
and more....
These are shells that I just adore!
Starting at sunrise,
until the sunsets,
I could spend all day
Combing the beach
and picking up shells
because this is what keeps me sane!
Have a Super Shelling Saturday!
Love,
Del
I have to say...

What a great post-ilove anything shelling. Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteThey have names? I thought they were just sea shells :)
ReplyDeleteFor my brownie recipe - I do it without nuts. Hubby has allergies.
I see my favorites in your list...the very first shells! Calico Scallops! I LOVE THEM! Every one has a different shade of color...from solid white to deep purple! I have a small dish of them next to my chair in the living room and I carry one in my purse! lol Enjoy your weekend, Della! And yes...I'm making a cowgirl wristlet! It's going to be so cute! lol ♥♥♥
ReplyDeleteI love this post! How fun. Your pictures are just beautiful! I never knew the shells had so many cool names!
ReplyDeleteBTW...the owl your daughter was holding might have been a screech owl. They are very small and a lot of people mistaken them for babies.
I love all the selections that you have here...my favorite are the kitten paws and the jewel box and whelks and lucina's. I could spend everyday shelling and beach combing too!!
ReplyDeleteI really miss living close to the ocean. Combing for shells is so relaxing.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the purple Calicos!!! Soo pretty it's like a Mermaids jewelry chest.
ReplyDeleteHave a very Happy Mothers Day XOXO, Patty
This was FUN!!!!!! Love your rhyming, I just sang right along.
ReplyDeleteHappy Mother's Day!!!!!
Hugs
I'm so glad you all enjoyed this as much as I did putting it together!
ReplyDeleteLove ya's!
This is a cute post! There's just nothing like seashells to make us happy. :)
ReplyDeleteThis so much fun! I also love that your pictures make the shells look like they are under water.
ReplyDeleteEeep! This is so awesome! I love the song. Great job! I'm gonna be singing it all day! :)
