I've been collecting seashells for as long as I can remember. From east to west, coast to coast, and shore to shore, I always find a treasure to keep, and adore.

Derby!

Last night was a home bout for the Cannibals, and what a bout it was! High energy, close scores, skates and skaters flying!
And yes, I still cringe every time my daughter gets knocked down or falls. And not just her, either. Her teammates are growing close to my heart, too.
Courtney....I mean Bonesaw Betty, has been over a couple of times to hang out and have dinner. That's her in the black and white makeup. She is so cool, too. We enjoy having Courtney Bonesaw around. Zachy loves her! He doesn't take to strangers right away, so this is really saying something!
It's so hard to snap a good picture before all I see is Shae's Militant's profile, or more likely her backside. That's her in the red shorts.
Not the best pics, but at least I did get a few of her face!
And some, although blurry, you can at least tell it was her. I'm so glad she was the only skater in red shorts! The next home bout is the last Sunday in April, the 29th. I can't wait! They do have away bouts before then, but they are several hours away. I'd love to go to the Vero bout and stay at the beach that night, but seeing as how the bouts are on Sundays, and hubby won't miss going into the office on Monday, I don't see that happening.

I do know what I'm asking for, for Mother's Day. Any guesses? Or is it obvious?

Do you have a voice this morning or did you scream too much at the derby? I think I'd be a screamer. Love the names, too...Bonesaw Betty and Militant. Who are some others on the team?

I hope it's not SKATES! hahaha! But I might be able to guess....and I need one, too! Enjoy your day. It's going to be gorgeous again! Hugs!

It looks like such fun and excitment. How long is each "bout?"

I'll bet that's a blast to watch. Lots of fast action! I hope you do get that Mother's Day gift. Fingers crossed for you. You never know.

Do they purposely shove each other down like they used to in the 70's?
