I've been collecting seashells for as long as I can remember. From east to west, coast to coast, and shore to shore, I always find a treasure to keep, and adore.

A Slice of Paradise

I very recently had a custom order that inspired me to start a new collection of jewelry!

This oh so cool and beachy lady contacted me via Etsy to create a custom and very unique necklace for her. She even drew the design of what she wanted, and I came up with the components to create it.
It was so fun! Custom orders really are a blast and I love doing them! It took a few tweaks to get it just right, but she loves it. I can't wait til she see's the real thing! She should get it on Thursday. Yea!

The pendant is a slice of a laevistrombus canarium, or a conch shell. Specifically the dog conch. There are many types of strombus shells. I thought it was a fighting conch until I got my hands on it. It's smooth where a fighting conch has points.

So, I also ordered a few other sliced shells when I ordered hers. I just had to. I was inspired!

Drum roll please~

I'd like to unveil the beginning of my Slice of Paradise Collection!
Seeing the inside of the shells is awesome! I love the spiral swirl inside this lettered olive. You can see more pics, and the full descriptions in my Etsy shop!

A little something for everyone, both feminine and casual styles, for him and for her. I want to add to this collection soon....after I finish a few other things.

Do you think the name is appropriate???
